Event Profile

The Sarawak Health & Wellness Expo 2010 the (“Expo”) will be the 1st and most comprehensive health & wellness expo ever organised in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia.

It is organised in collaboration with Jabatan Kesihatan Negeri Sarawak.

The objectives of the Expo are:

  1. To complement the Government’s efforts in promoting wellness as a lifestyle.
  2. To provide the prime matching platform for exhibitors, consumers, and all concerned parties of health and wellness products and services.
  3. To promote Sarawak as an ideal destination for health and wellness activities in Malaysia.
  4. To make this Expo a hallmark event in Sarawak, Malaysia

1. DATES & EXPO HOURS
Dates:  7th to 9th May 2010 (Friday – Sunday)
Venue: 5th Floor, Permata Exhibition Hall, Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia
Time: 10:00 am – 8:30 pm

2. TARGET EXHIBITORS
Food & beverages: organic, health and natural food & beverages producers, suppliers, farms etc.

Health-related: Nutrition, health supplements, pharmaceutical, hygiene & medical applications producers & suppliers, health & medical related institutions, health screening, biotech, laboratory & research companies etc.

Wellness-related: Fitness & wellness services (slimming, spa, reflexology), centres & equipments suppliers, water purification systems, hair care, skin care, etc.

Supporting Organisations:
Government, semi-government,
educational, & other private sector institutions (health & medical insurance companies) concerned about health & wellness.

3. ADMISSION
Admission is FREE, but the Event Manager reserves the rights to refuse admission or to remove any person without giving any reason. This also applies during the build up and dismantle periods for the Expo.

4. RENTAL OF EXHIBITION BOOTHS
3m x 3m Entrance(RM3,500 per booth)
3m x 3m Quad Corners facing Entrance/Extra Large L-shaped corner (RM3,200 per booth)
3m x 3m Quad Corners (RM3,000 per booth)
3m x 3m Special Corners (RM2,800 per booth)
3m x 3m Standard intermediate booths (RM2,700 per booth)

5. BOOTH PACKAGE
The following facilities will be on loan to the exhibitors for the three-day event:
a. white laminated panels
b. 1 reception table + skirting
c. 2 folding chairs
d. 1 Power point 13 Amp
e. 2 Fluorescent lamps
f. Fascia names (max. 30 letters).

Request for additional power points, furniture, equipment, or accessories should be made in writing to the Event Manager (“EM”) at least 3 working days prior to the Expo, and shall be subject to availability and extra charges.

6. APPLICATION FOR PARTICIPATION
Application to participate in the Expo should be made by completing the Expo Booth Booking (“EBB”) Form, accompanied with full payment, and submitted to the EM. EBB Form with partial payment will not be accepted. Upon acceptance by the EM, the application will be deemed as the official contract of participation. The EM reserve the absolute right to refuse acceptance of any application, or to limit the numbers of booth allocation or facilities granted.

7. BOOTH ALLOCATION
Available booths will be allocated on a first-come-first-serve basis. Booths allocation will only be given to those Exhibitors whose EBB Form, accompanied with full payment, have been accepted by the EM.

8. PAYMENT
Full payment and the duly completed EBB Form must be received by the EM before 31st March 2010. Payment must be made payable to “EAGLE INTERACTIVE SDN. BHD.” Refunds shall be made if the Expo is cancelled due to reasons beyond the control of the EM.

9. ENGAGEMENT OF OUTSIDE
    CONTRACTORS

Exhibitors are not allowed to engage outside contractors for their allocated booth(s) other than the official contractor appointed by the EM.

10.  BOOTH BOUNDARY
Exhibitors must operate within the confined parameters of the allocated booth(s).

11. BOOTH OPERATIONS
All Expo booths must be appropriately staffed and operational during the entire stipulated hours of the Expo. Exhibitors must not be involved in activities that cause annoyance to visitors or other exhibitors.

12. CAR PARKING
Car parking lots are available at the Expo venue at a special rate of RM2 per entry for the duration of the Expo, provided that the parking ticket is duly endorsed by the EM.

13. FOOD & BEVERAGES/CAFETERIA
Outside food and beverages are not allowed to be brought into the Expo hall. The designated cafeteria in the Expo hall will cater to the food & beverage needs of the exhibitors and visitors.

14. AUDIO VISUAL DEMONSTRATION,
      CENSORSHIP, COPYRIGHT

It is the Exhibitors’ sole and full responsibility, obligation and liability to ensure that their VCDs, CDs, DVDs, video tapes/films, or any play back format have been duly approved by the Censorship Board and all relevant authorities before they are played, displayed or sold at the Expo. The EM disclaims all and any responsibility, obligation and liability relating thereto.

15. SOUND / NOISE LEVEL
Exhibitors must ensure that any sound/noise generated by their audio visual system or activities must not cause nuisance or disturbance to other exhibitors. The EM reserves the right to take appropriate actions to reduce the sound/noise level, to remove the relevant audio-visual systems, or switch-off any such systems if necessary.

16. EXHIBITOR TAGS AND PASSES
For identification and security reasons, all exhibitors (including their authorised representatives) must wear the tags/passes issued by the EM at all time.

17. EVENT MANAGER’S
      SECRETARIATE

During the Expo, the EM’s office to be located within the Expo area shall serve as the information counter.

19. PUBLICITY CHANNELS

  1. Public Relation: Press conferences and press releases regarding the Expo will be made.
  2. Print Media: Advertisements and feature articles will be inserted in Sarawak major newspapers at the appropriate time.
  3. Direct Media: Brochures/flyers on the Expo will be distributed throughout Kuching and its vicinity. Personal invitations will also be disseminated through emails, faxes and other electronic means.
  4. Outdoor: Informative banners and buntings will be placed at strategic locations throughout Kuching.
  5. Broadcast: The Expo will be featured on major radio broadcasts and talk programmes.
  6. Online Media: Advertisements will also be placed at appropriate online media
